Work Incentives and Benefits Planning
Understanding the intricate web of public benefits at a federal and state level and the impact of work on benefits is an important step toward economic advancement for people with disabilities. National Disability Institutes nationally-recognized experts create state-specific trainings in varied intensity and length for targeted learners such as disability service providers, VR counselors, Medicaid support coordinators, parents, family members and individuals with disabilities. Customized benefits trainings by state include e-learning courses, webinars and on-the-ground, in-person trainings.
NDI has designed multiple trainings to advance understanding and skill in the use of Social Security work incentives and complementary savings and asset-building strategies. Targeted learners include VR counselors, Medicaid support coordinators, disability service providers, parents, family members and individuals with disabilities.
In Florida, Arizona, New York, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Texas, Virginia, DC, Maryland, California, Ohio our training programs of varied intensity and length are building a network of individuals who can translate their new knowledge to help present expanded choices for individuals with disabilities that advance economic security and mobility.
NDI recently developed an online course for the state of Florida: The Changing Face of Benefits - Florida
