EmpoweredNYC - SSI: Benefits and Work Incentives You Need To Know
Please join EmpoweredNYC on September 11, 2018, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. ET, for the webinar: SSI: Benefits and Work Incentives You Need to Know.
Many people believe that if they are on Supplemental Security Income (SSI) that they cannot work. Or can only work part-time. This webinar will cover what SSI is and how the Social Security Administration defines disability. It will also cover important work incentives and other amendments to the Social Security Act that provide beneficiaries with disabilities incentives to return to work.
The work incentives that will be covered include Impairment Related Work Expenses (IRWE), Student Earned Income Exclusion, Plan to Achieve Self-Support (PASS), Special SSI Payments for people who work and Section 1619(b). The webinar will also share resources for SSI beneficiaries that are interested in returning to work.
Real time captioning will be provided for this webinar. For other accommodation requests, questions about the webinar, or the registration process, please contact Shajira Brown at email@example.com.
