DISABLE POVERTY Outreach Materials Are Now Available in Spanish

DISABLE POVERTY Posters e Infografía Están Ahora Disponibles en Español

DISABLE POVERTY, a grassroots campaign launched by National Disability Institute (NDI) in 2016, just released free-to-download Spanish language posters and an infographic designed to raise awareness about poverty in the disability community.

These outreach materials highlight startling statistics about the one in three Americans with disabilities that live in poverty and who often do not use mainstream banking services. The DISABLE POVERTY campaign aims to get financial institutions, organizations and individuals to take the DISABLE POVERTY pledge and take action to help decrease poverty in the disability community. The end goals of the DISABLE POVERTY campaign are to increase the use of mainstream banking services by people with disabilities by 50 percent, and to decrease the number of people with disabilities living in poverty by 50 percent, within the next 10 years.
