April is National Financial Capability Month
This entire month, NDI joins the chorus of nonprofits, individuals, financial institutions, businesses of every size and all levels of government celebrating National Financial Capability Month (NFCM) and highlighting the importance of financial planning and education for all people. Also known as National Financial Literacy Month, the month-long initiative seeks to educate and equip consumers, with and without disabilities, with the necessary skills to make sound financial decisions.
In a similar vein, we, at NDI, as the nation’s first nonprofit dedicated exclusively to improving the financial reality and future of all Americans with disabilities, are working tirelessly to ensure all people before, during and after NFCM have the opportunity to pursue the American Dream. Taking control of one’s finances is empowering and is key to not only building a better economic future, but also paramount to getting ahead in today’s economy - the very heart of NDI’s mission.
That is why, during NFCM, we strongly encourage you to visit our
