NDI partners with NAD at national conferences and panel presentations to collaboratively advance the economic empowerment of individuals with disabilities and the Deaf/HoH community.
IRS Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication (SPEC) - ASL Tax Terms
Since 2009, NDI has partnered with IRS-SPEC to increase equal access to free tax assistance for Deaf taxpayers using innovative approaches. Today, NDI actively supports and promotes partnership between Tax Coalitions nationwide with Deaf/HoH communities to boost ASL Tax Days and increase free tax preparation and the receipt of tax credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit. With support from NDI, the IRS produced hundreds of ASL Tax Terms online.
ABLE: 5 Things to Know
The ABLE National Resource Center is excited to release this video which explains key provisions related to the ABLE Act and ABLE account in American Sign Language.
Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD)
NDI partners with CSD, the world’s largest Deaf-led nonprofit that provides advocacy, ASL interpreting, telecommunications relay, and other services to the Deaf/HoH community. CSD offers a wide range of visual education and instruction specifically designed for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults. Their free online courses range from topics such as Searching for a Job, Working and Benefits, Job Interviewing, and Banking Basics.
